We just got back home from UNC yesterday. This time it was really nice because I got to take my cousin Julia with me. So she was great to play endless hours of tag, foot races, hide n go seek, wrestle mania, boxing, and baseball played with imaginary ball and bat. Plus we were delighted to see a few 2 inch cockroaches in our hospital room ( we don't get those in Utah) makes you feel all warm and fuzzy sleeping in the room not. Other than that everything went well. Easton is getting more accustomed to being there and is acting more like himself around all the staff. Hopefully they'll see how hard it is to keep an active 4 year old locked up in a hospital room for 4 days and let him so back to the hotel between the infusions just to get some space to spread out and play. Each infusion seems to be about the same as the last one there haven't been any adverse reactions or problems of any sort. He is also growing like a weed and it seems like his speech is getting clearer all the time. I also get to take someone with me the next couple of times these visits last about 9 days and after the next 2 I should start the next phase of the trial or the extension and then I'll only have to go back on a Sunday and leave on a Wednesday or Thursday this will be awesome but I hope they will still let someone come with it is so hard traveling with a preschooler the airports alone are crazy. So now I just need to find someone that can come with. We ventured out to Carolina beach this weekend it was a 3 hour drive but well worth it I forgot my camera so no pics but Easton loved it he had some much fun then when we got back he really laughed at Julias red skin he thought it was so funny that her back was bright red but I told her that's what happens when you spray sunscreen on in a wind storm.
Miss Genola now to shift gears both of my girls were in the miss Genola pageant that was held the end of April. Kaylee was in the Jr.miss portion and she did so well she did her dance without any porblems and her walk was great giving her little smile and actually showing her personality I was so proud of her.
Camille competed for the title of miss Genola I couldn't believe how well she did the group dance turned out great and then on to the talent portion she choreographed a dance and performed it to lady gaga's starstruck I have no natural dance talent but wholly cow I don't know where she got hers she totally stayed on beat and performed wonderfully hitting every mark.
Then onto the evening gown competition and on stage question she walked with a natural grace and then when she was asked the question she totally nailed it she spouted off a quick yet bright answer. I just sat there amazed that she did that well. Needless to say she didn't place but she was so proud of herself that she wants to try again next year. She even made the comment that she was glad she didn't make it because she wanted to try again she had so much fun. Plus performing in front of everyone and doing well has given her the confidence to tryout for dance company she wasn't going to because she had tried out for drill a couple of weeks before and didn't make it she was very disappointed and didn't want to tryout for anything Else until next years drill tryouts. so for now everyone is doing good. Easton is scheduled for ear tubes on Monday I hope that this will help him with his speech. I guess we'll see.
