So before I get into the whole infusion part of this entry I'll start with what happened after the
infusion and we got
back to the hotel from the hospital. I let
Easton play with my camera one day and he took some pretty cute shots of me , the t.v. the door knobs , the floor etc. but I thought this first one was the best
hahaha.

He has cried for our last 3 infusions for an umbrella so finally I broke down and got him one. He
has been loving it ever since. When I let him have my camera he took his umbrella and positioned it
in between the cushions and took a pic of it.
Easton and his umbrella

Funny story about the rings. I took him to the mall and we stopped at
JcPenneys we had stopped to look at the rings for a few minutes then went to see if I could find some good deals on the kids some school clothes. Well when I went to stand in line to check out I noticed that his pockets were bulging out so I asked him what was in his pockets and he pulls out a ring box and opens it and and hands me a dollar he h
ad and says I buy this for
mille (
Camille). He gets in his other pocket and pulls another ring box out and says this ones for Kaylee. It was so cute he had thought of his sisters all on his own. I told him that maybe we would get them another day and lets put them back. At this the flood gates opened and the big crocodile tears flowed so needless to say we bought the rings for his sister the pink colored one was for Kaylee and the black one for Camille they both loved the ones that he picked out for them. Which never changed they were always the same ring for each girl. When we got home he made sure that they both wore them all day. Weston got a football that
Easton picked out for him. It was to cute.

This is my cousin Jennie who came with to help me out this time. They had a blast. We are so relieved that this infusionwent without any complications as well as the others. O
ther than being bored out of our minds it went really smoothly no problems at all
Easton is really learning to tolerate the long boring hospital stays well. But guess what this was our last long hospital stay I'm sure that we will learn to adjust to not being there for so long no more staying up until 2 a.m. watching nick j.r. how will we ever make it. Now we are entering the 2
ND phase of the trial or the extension par
t of the study which just means that we get to go down on a Sunday ,
Monday he'll get his
neuro exam. Tuesday his infusion ,
Wednesday another small
Neuro exam and then wait for it wait for it we get to fly home
whooo hoo IF you haven't noticed I'm so excited about this my life will finally get back to some what normal
I'm sure my kids are excited to.

We do however have one more longer visit where the Dr.s will need to perform their end of study tests it will be very interesting to see how they compare to 6 months ago.
One of Eastons favorite activities while we're done here is swimming he loves it and he also loves the beach. My wonderful Hubby gets to come with me this next time so we are going to take him for the day. It will be so nice to have him there. James hasn't been able to be there so this will be the first infusion that he gets to be part of.
Easton and Jennie breaking up the boredom with fun shots of the two of them.

One of the highlights of this trip was getting to see are friend
Kraig he
had come for a Dr. visit and stopped by our room to say hi.
Easton was a little bit reluctant to see him. I think he kind of reminded him of Nathan so he wasn't to sure. I sure enjoyed the visit. On another good note after the 9th infusion we should hopefully be able to start getting the infsuions at our local hospital an.d probablly only need to fly down every 6 months keeping our fingers crossed. It's weird how these alst 6 months have semmed to fly by I'm glad that they have though its made this whole experience a little more tolerable for everyone involved and as for Easton they ahve been tolerable for him also its exactly what I prayed for when we were starting this process I'm soo greatful that I have been blessed with an understanding family that have been really helpful with things and my kids that have been so understanding of me not being there all the time. I also feel blessed that I have the oppotunities to be born in these times when there are people who have been blessed with the knowledge of how to help my kids and are continuing to come up with new ideas for different treatments for these kids they are truly a gifted and blessed people.
So excited for you guys. I love the time that you and Easton are getting to spend together, but I'm so glad you get to have someone to come help you now. Easton looks wonderful and I love the stories about the umbrella and rings.
ReplyDeleteSo glad it went well! I'll keep my fingers crossed you can start doing them here in Utah like you're hoping!
